Stay and Play is a group for parents and young children which is held at St James Church Lower Darwen. The group runs on Monday afternoons during school term times between 1pm – 3pm. The group allows parents to meet in a safe and friendly environment and gain friendships with other parents within the community which they live in.
Parents and children have access to a variety of toys which are suitable for babies through to toddlers. They learn nursery rhymes, enjoy story times and then enjoy healthy drinks and snacks. To attend Stay and Play it is £1.00 for the first child and families with more than one child are charged 50p for each additional child and this includes all of the above.
The group will soon be able to facilitate Messy Play for the families that attend and are looking into investing in sensory play equipment to enhance the session.
