Pop Up Church

Pop Up Church allows residents to attend and ask questions they have about religion in a safe and free environment. When the session began in November 2018 the sessions were every fortnight however, due to the attendance numbers in November 2019 it became a weekly session. All are welcome to this session.

There are two local youths that run the children’s work with support from a local Rainbows and Brownies leader.

The session allows people to explore different views about religion along with residents from the Higher Croft community. Sessions are run by a local Evangelist as well as the occasional session lead by guest speakers. The participants meet in Roman Road Library every Sunday. Pop Up offers members of the group tea and coffee and bacon and sausage butties one week and on the alternate week a continental style breakfast.

Pop Up Churches attendance allows the Local Conversation project to have a platform to speak to large numbers of residents about things relating to the projects work.
